About Me

Hi there! I am a dually licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCSW-A; LCAS-A) at Congruence Counseling Group, offering individual therapy to adults, couples, and adolescents. My work is anchored in the belief that every person is inherently endowed with the wisdom necessary to unburden themselves of the structures — internal and systemic — that pull us away from wellness, embodiment, and an audacious commitment to our most intimate values.

I bring a person-centered, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to therapeutic work, honoring that suffering manifests in mind, body, and spirit — each deserving thoughtful, dignified attention. I specialize in trauma, substance misuse and addictive behaviors, depression, anxiety, identity exploration, existential concerns, and attachment, and have focused clinical experience supporting individuals living with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI). I understand that these concerns rarely arrive alone — they surface across the full terrain of a person’s life, touching the personal, relational, professional, financial, and physical all at once. As a queer therapist, I offer care that is explicitly queer-affirming, anti-racist, anti-fascist, and abolitionist, grounded in Health At Every Size (HAES) competency and trauma-informed practice. My commitment to anti-carceral care is rooted in a simple ethic: this work is driven by love and incompatible with punishment, stifling, and containment.

My style is supportive and entirely client-led. I don’t come with an agenda. I follow your lead, move at your pace, and regard you as the foremost expert on your own life. I’m here to be a curious, steady presence — one that helps you hear yourself more clearly and move more fully toward what matters to you.

To support this, I draw from an integrative range of modalities — not as a fixed protocol, but as a living toolkit I adapt in collaboration with each client. Psychodynamic Therapy and Family Systems help us explore the relational and historical roots of present-day patterns. Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy create space to reclaim your story and build on what is already working. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) offer concrete skills for navigating emotional intensity and moving toward a life that feels more aligned with your values. Ecotherapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ground the work somatically and ecologically — a reminder that we are not separate from our bodies or from the natural world, and that both are resources for healing.

I draw from my lived experience as a first-generation, queer, working-class, Black arrivant. This term names the experience of those whose ancestral relationship to land was severed through the forced movement of the African diaspora, and who exist in ongoing negotiation with belonging, displacement, and return. This inheritance shapes how I show up — with deep attentiveness to the ways power, place, and history live in the body and inform our pain.

If you’ve found your way here, thank you. It is an incredible privilege to sit with folks in the muck and fullness of their lives, and to work toward holding the gravity of your experience with greater care.

When I’m not contemplating the ways we move to be in right relationship, you can find me tending to plants, cooking something slow, catching live music, losing myself in a good book, or romping around barefoot with my partner and our pets, Bea and Wilson.
