About Me

Hi! I’m Mignon! I am a Bilingual/Bi-cultural therapist and have nearly 20 years of experience in various settings including private practice, community mental health, federally funded community based mental health initiatives, and hospital settings as a chaplain. I show up for my clients with intentionality, compassion, and presence. I work with clients who deal with depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, challenging family dynamics, postpartum mood disorders, trauma, sexual trauma, spiritual integration, religious trauma/church hurt, and I provide queer and gender affirming care.

As a Black, Cis-gender female, Queer spectrum identified therapist, I understand how tiring it can be to constantly explain your identity in spaces where you continue to feel invisible. I SEE YOU. I am here to support LGBTQIA+ adults, trans and non-binary humans, and folks who are in polyamorous relationships.

My evidence-based approaches honor intersections of identity and lived experiences unique to each client. As a therapist, your healing and wellbeing are my priority. Clients gain knowledge, insight, as well as assessment and problem-solving skills, that equip them in identifying, and resolving thought patterns, and cycles of behavior with predictable unwanted outcomes.

We are partners in this solution-focused work, as goal attainment cannot happen unless we both do our part. My client engagement seeks to embody a healthy curiosity, and a willingness to learn from you, about you. Your ongoing feedback is valued and integral in our work together.  I look forward to working with you!
