What is it?
Social relationships are an innate and important part of being human. Relationships can be with people that we choose to bring into our lives, such as friends and partners, or they can be with family or coworkers that we didn’t get to choose. They can provide support and comfort in the best of times but they can also bring a lot of harm or discomfort in the worst of times. Sometimes harm is done that requires repair and the rebuilding of trust. Being in relationship with others is an active process that requires communication and awareness. When relationships are open, safe, and supportive we can grow, establish community, and thrive.
