Join Our Team at Congruence Counseling Group

Congruence Counseling Group is a small, values-driven private practice based in Carrboro, NC. We are currently looking for a full-time psychotherapist to join our team in a W-2 employee position. We serve a diverse community of adults, kids & adolescents through individual,  couples, & family therapy, with a strong commitment to inclusion, equity, and quality care.

In a world where accessing affirming mental health support can still be a challenge—especially for underserved communities—we aim to be a safe, welcoming, and effective space for healing. Our mission is twofold: to provide exceptional, culturally attuned care to clients, and to help shape the next generation of thoughtful, well-supported clinicians.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a growth-minded, collaborative therapist who resonates with our mission and is ready to step into a full-time clinical role. The ideal candidate is someone who values both independence and connection and who brings clinical skill, cultural humility, and a spirit of curiosity to their work.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Fully licensed in North Carolina as LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT
  • At least 2 years of direct clinical counseling experience (post provisional licensure)
  • Willing and able to provide a minimum of 22 direct clinical hours per week
  • Ability to see clients in-person and via telehealth

Preferred (but not required):

  • Registered with CAQH
  • Credentialed with BCBS, Cigna, or Aetna
  • Availability to work one evening or weekend day per week
